ExperiencePosted by Mack McKelton Wednesday, January 23 2008 18:05I think comming here was one of the best things I could do. I have used the opportunity to see exotic birds like Magpies, Lorekeets or Indian Miners. Today I went to Renton`s Aunt and Uncle`s house to visit his own Ramp in Sunburry. We had a good time out there. It is an environment verry close to nature. I loved it after I got over the fear of snakes and spiders potentially being everywere. :-) I am also continueing to learn stuff in the Vertramp.
On Saturday there is a contest at the River Side skate park here in Melbourne`s City Center. That should be a lot of fun. greetings and smiles to all my friends back home. Melbs is cool, but I will keep travelling the continent. Sorry it is hard to get a hold of the internet while moving arround so much. At the moment I am hanging out with some of the crew that came to Berlin with Globe in 2003. Good times!
ExperiencePosted by Mack McKelton Wednesday, January 09 2008 01:18On my flight from Seoul (South Korea) to Melbourne I was sitting next to a nice guy who turned out to be a photographer. We might meet up here later. Renton picked me up from the City Center after I took the sky shuttel (Bus) with the introduction film for Melbourne as a briefing/update. I was so stoked to hear just a few of the things Melbourne has to offer. Amazing city. I am living on Dickens Street (Victoria) right by the beach. Skateparks all very near, and the vibe is a friendly one. We went to the skatepark by Chapel street behind the Prahran Pool. The Red Bull sampling Girls stoped by to offer refreshments to everyone, thus I immediatly made sure I got the RB local contact. :-) Super duper... Now Renton and I are stopping by the globe office here in Melbs, and then we are off for icecream and a skate with the a bunch of the mates I met yesterday and some of my German friends that came seperately but are also here! A big thanks to everyone supporting me on this trip, especially Renton for introducing me to everyone. On a nother note, since the internet is all about sharing, why don`t I share these awsome sites with you if you feel like some intertainment in Film or Movie style... The format in these websites is changing the world we live in, as did www.youtube.comwww.blentwell.com (for music mixtapes)www.freecaster.tv (for sports and music beyond tv.)www.joox.net (For Movies in Cinema style)enjoy. Best wishes, - Mack
ExperiencePosted by Mack McKelton Monday, December 10 2007 11:50It's always nice to be back home... Looking forward to christmas and new years with the family. I have a lot of errands to run before I am off again. I went snowboarding last monday on the largest indoor skislope in Europe, located at Wittenburg. They have a halfpipe and boarder park. It is 200Km away from Berlin, on the way to Hamburg. The Halfpipe ride made me feel even more adventurous to polish up my skate skills in the vertical area. I go to the indoor skatepark in Berlin most of the time. (www.skatehalle-berlin.de)
ExperiencePosted by Mack McKelton Tuesday, November 27 2007 09:37Hi everyone. I have been enjoying the sun here. Went to several schools were I knew the spots from videos, and got some tricks done. Today we spent nearly the whole day at Bob's (Burnquist) house riding the Mega Ramp. All the other stuff he has in there is amazing too!!! The loop, the cork-screw and his Halfpipe with cradle and bowl extension. All his organic stuff is also cool. That man really knows what he is doing. This evening we went to Shaun's (White) house. We had a lot of fun and stayed for much longer than we intended to. Tomorrow we all have a mission again. Should be good. Juergen is feeling solid again to ride a backyard pool, and PLG wants to continue doing his crazy moves on the Mega. But first we will go by the Electric (visuals) office. We want to visit the US Red Bull office on Wednessday. I'll keep you guys updated. Hope you are all well, and keep smiling. Spread the positive vibe. (-:mack
ExperiencePosted by Mack McKelton Monday, November 19 2007 12:32Wow, California is great dude! Es ist echt wie in einem Film. This place is so different to home, even though it is so simelar also. Have you all seen Michael Moor's Movie called Sicko? It is about the American health insurance. It illustrates the differences between Europe and the USA very well. But I am just taking what works, and leaving the rest. Quite nice here at Piere-Luc Gagnon's house. He is the man. Winning All those Contests like X-games, Gravity games, and stuff that big... Jake Brown just came back from his 21houre race in Mexico... Yes, he lives here too. Great times! Maybe I will still get to know Shaun White and Danny Way... who knows. Comfortable lifestyle here. I go surfing every day too. I'm loving it! I am also still so stoked on skateboarding.-mps. Pictures on www.myspace.com/juergenhorrwarth (blog)We have been all over the place. pps. There is also a new video from our last days in Turkey on www.skateblogturkey.comGood stuff... thanks Boaz.
ExperiencePosted by Mack McKelton Thursday, November 15 2007 17:22Wow, Woodward is amazing!!! I have never seen anything like it in the world! It's like wonderland and to be there was like every kids dream come true. No wonder Disney baught it up. check it out: (www.skatecampwoodward.com) We stayed in Bud's Barn were the intertainment is off the hook. Pool tables, indoor basketball, table tennis, all TV channels, and the place is made like a kid would set things up, with a firepole and ladders to get from place to place. A sporty environment. Located on the hills sourounded by nature. The water and the air were so refreshing comming from the city life.I learned some stuff like varial, and more controle in the Halfpipe, and backflip into the foampit. Also some switch skills on a flat rail. It was so much fun. Yesterday Jürgen and I met up with Mark Nickols and checked out his local skatepark. It was big and well done. We had fun there. Locals are super friendly. Now we are in the Washington DC area. We met up with my Father and visited some family friends. Going to down town DC now. It's raining. We are meeting at the main skate spot "freedom plaza" and will probably check out some of the museums. Tomorrow morning we are of to California. Hope to go surfing there. I'll keep updating. Big smile and greetings from here - mack
ExperiencePosted by Mack McKelton Monday, November 12 2007 19:55Yeah, Juergen and I arrived in Pennsylvania yesterday evening. The state College Airport is nearly like the ones in Tanzania (East Africa). So small. Now we are chilling at the Holiday Inn waiting for the Car Rental to brin us the wagon so we can drive to Woodward East. I am motivated to try a Backflip into the Foam Pit. I met so many Kids skating the Vert like Jason Price 13 years old from Florida. Super Funny Kid, and he is getting good. He got me all excited about woodward, and he also told me that in the near future they plan to build a Mega Ramp. Meeting Greg Lutzka and the other guys was great too. The Brazilians went all out again. (www.lgactionsports.com) I even made some money! :-) happy about that. Good times are rolling. Unfortunately I didn't take my charger for my Camera Battery (stupid me) so pics are on:www.JuergenHorrwarth.deenjoy, - m
ExperiencePosted by Mack McKelton Sunday, November 11 2007 18:08Dallas has been super fun. The event was great! (www.lgactonsports.com) Met a lot of the skate buddies that I knew from other contests like the Mystic cup in Prag. A lot of brazilians... And then I had the change to hang out with the American pros like Kareem, Greg Lutzka, Chad Fernandez. It has been fun. There are also some pictures of how I learned to gamble a bit on www.juergenhorrwarth.deAn old friend from school (Ida) came to Dallas for the show too. So good. I keep you all posted. Off to Pennselvania tonight. :-) smiles and greets- Mack
